Bakery Assistant

98 Street Your Independent Grocer is seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare dough and batters for baking
- Bake and decorate cakes and pastries
- Train staff in preparation and handling of food
- Requisition and order materials and supplies
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Ensure quality of products meets established standards
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a bakery or related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
