Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Project Management Educator to join our faculty at Canadore College. This is a full-time position that involves teaching, research, and service responsibilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in project management, as well as contributing to the development of curriculum and programs. They will also engage in scholarly activities, such as research and publication, and participate in college-wide committees and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach project management courses at various levels, including undergraduate and graduate programs;
  • Develop and implement curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices;
  • Conduct research and publish papers in reputable academic journals;
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees, contributing to policy development and decision-making processes;
  • Mentor students and provide guidance on their research projects and career aspirations;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A doctoral degree in information technology or a related field;
  • At least five years of experience in the IT industry, preferably in a leadership or management role;
  • Two or more years of teaching experience, preferably in a college or university setting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and industry partners;
  • Familiarity with learning management systems, educational technologies, and online course delivery platforms;
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying current with industry trends and best practices;
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be required to work on campus, with occasional off-site visits to industry partners and events.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $140,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
