At SearchLabs, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. With a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget, this role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position on commercial or institutional projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to read construction blueprints and store elevation drawings is also required.
  • This position involves managing multiple projects with urgent deadlines, making organization and time management crucial skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Construction Project Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining project administration in a correct and timely manner.
  • This includes ordering materials and equipment and ensuring all necessary permits are in place.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for accomplishing construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • In addition, they will manage sub-contractors and meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures.
  • A high level of attention to detail and ability to prevent fines and work interruptions by complying with codes is essential.

Work Environment:

  • The Construction Project Coordinator will work in a variety of different environmental conditions and weather conditions.
  • This may include working at heights and confined spaces, as well as standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
  • The use of common tools, including power tools, is also required.
  • PPE such as hard hats, safety boots, and safety glasses must be worn at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A college construction management certificate is preferred, but not required.
  • Carpentry or Trade school is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is also required.

Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year
