Senior Principal Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in evaluating, developing, and managing projects for research and technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical study development and execution, as well as experience in financial modeling, budget management, and forecasting.

About the Role
  • Leverage your expertise to manage teams, including junior and senior engineers, vendors, and manufacturers, while fostering a mission-driven culture.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and staying within budget.
  • Mentor team members to nurture their growth, identify areas of improvement, and set goals.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources effectively.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, plan, elicit, and manage project scope.
  3. Communicate project status, progress, and potential issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  4. Analyze project metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and innovation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with a bachelor's degree, or 8 years with an advanced degree.
  • Strong understanding of clinical study development and execution, project management methodologies, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with human-centered design, user-centered design, lean product development, and agile development methods.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and IEC standards in medical device development.
Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $120K - $180K, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
