Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Wood Products Assembly Specialist to join our team at Kingswood Interiors Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders, and barrels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble wood products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Record information on products inspected and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Read blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings to understand product requirements.
  • Pack items for shipping and distribution, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Reinforce assembled products with dowelling or other supports to ensure stability and durability.
  • Install hardware such as knobs and hinges to complete the assembly process.
  • Inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards and mark defective parts or products for repair.
  • Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to ensure products meet quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Experience with power tools, small hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
