Bridge Engineer for COWI in North America

COWI A/S is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Engineer to join our team in North America. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious infrastructure projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets for complex bridge projects.
  • Perform analysis of bridge structures and prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes.
  • Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents to support project delivery.
  • Conduct site inspections and perform other functions as required.
  • Plan, evaluate, and adapt work using independent judgment and innovative problem-solving approaches.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred) with a minimum of 4 years of related experience in bridge design.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in your home province or state, or ability to obtain registration in Nova Scotia within 12 months of employment.
  • Familiarity with structural design codes such as CSA-S6, CSCE, and AASHTO, as well as experience with structural analysis software programs.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as Excel and Mathcad.
  • Knowledge of parametric conceptual designs and programming environments like Dynamo and Grasshopper.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver concise and high-quality technical deliverables.
