Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Cherish at Central Park. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

About the Role:

  • Lead a team of cooks in preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods;
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization;
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high standards of quality;
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency;
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to meet health and safety regulations;
  • Organize buffets and banquets to create visually appealing presentations;
  • Promote Canadian and international cuisine specialties to cater to diverse tastes;
  • Ensure attention to detail, fast-paced environment, heavy loads, physical demands, and extended standing periods do not compromise performance;
  • Foster dependability, excellent oral communication, judgement, organization, reliability, and teamwork to achieve business objectives;

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role;

Working Conditions:

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience;
