Liquid Analytics is a leader in building high-performance decision analysis products, and we're seeking an exceptional Senior SQL Data Analyst & Developer to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

This critical position involves designing, prototyping, and optimizing complex data workflows and architectures, ensuring seamless implementation by our server platform developers. You'll work directly with our lead product manager/architect to deliver advanced SQL query optimization expertise, leveraging your strong understanding of statistics and machine learning to conduct exploratory data analysis, blending, and decision-making.

You will be responsible for utilizing SQL with DuckDB to perform complex queries, including unions, group_by with grouping sets and aggregations, pivot/unpivot CTEs/temporary tables/sub-queries, and window functions. Your role also includes developing intuitive data understanding to uncover insights and guide data-driven strategies.

Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, DuckDB, PostgreSQL, Databricks, Apache Iceberg, and BI visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and ML python visualization tools.
  • DataOps Skills: Experience with GitLab monorepos, build systems, feature flagging, and DevOps practices such as version control with Git.
  • Communication and Documentation: Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and users.
