Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering reserve planning and technical delivery projects, providing expert advice and consultation to property owners and managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and deliver assessment reports, including Depreciation Reports, Reserve Fund Studies, Building/Facility Condition Assessments, and Capital Reserve Plans.
  2. Apply knowledge of industry guidelines, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  3. Liaise with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to obtain drawings and other property documents.
  4. Review drawings, reports, and strata plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  5. Conduct on-site visual reviews of buildings and properties to assess the condition of physical assets.
  6. Analyze market, economic, and property data to inform reserve planning and technical delivery decisions.
  7. Meet with clients to discuss project scope, timeline, and budget.
  8. Develop replacement cost estimates for assets based on project reports, construction manuals, and site measurements.
  9. Present findings and recommendations to clients, either in person or virtually.
  10. Maintain costing databases and project archives to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, architecture, applied science, or related field.
  • Professional designation as an engineer, architect, applied science technologist, accredited appraiser, certified reserve planner, or quantity surveyor.
  • 5-10 years of experience in asset management, reserve planning, and technical delivery.
  • Superb project management skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to translate complex requests into concrete actions.
  • A commitment to remaining current with processes, jurisprudence, and regulations surrounding Depreciation Reports and similar types of reports.
