Job Summary

As a Workplace Investigations Specialist at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and respectful work environment. Under the general direction of the Employee Labour Relations Director, you will conduct thorough investigations into workplace issues, including harassment and discrimination, conduct, workplace violence, and other concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations into workplace issues, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as needed
  • Develop and implement recommendations to prevent future incidents and promote a positive work environment
  • Collaborate with HR and management to develop and implement policies and procedures related to workplace investigations
  • Provide training and education to employees on workplace policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as human resources, law, or social sciences
  • Proven experience in workplace investigations, employee relations, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
