Job Title: Asset Protection Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud within our retail locations
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Specialists to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Detect and investigate internal investigations, compile and present evidence for court or arbitration
  • Identify potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance
  • Build and maintain store partnerships through management meetings and huddles
  • Coach and mentor colleagues on Asset Protection policies and procedures
  • Participate in conducting store-level audits
  • Participate in community events
Requirements:
  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest
  • Professionally friendly and approachable demeanor
  • High degree of initiative and integrity required
