Event Planner Job Description

At World of Advertising Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and organized Event Planner to join our team. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing various events, conferences, and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Marketing and Communication Plans: Create and implement marketing and communication strategies to promote events and conferences.
  • Develop Media Strategies and Public Relations Activities: Plan and execute media strategies and public relations activities to ensure successful event promotion.
  • Recruit, Hire and Supervise Staff and/or Volunteers: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to support event planning and execution.
  • Prepare, Present and Manage Budgets: Prepare, present, and manage budgets for events and conferences.
  • Arrange for Shipping, Receiving and Storage: Arrange for shipping, receiving, and storage of event materials and equipment.
  • Co-ordinate and Monitor Conference and Meeting Activities: Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities, including speaker confirmations and equipment setup.
  • Co-ordinate Media Services: Co-ordinate media services, including audio-visual equipment and technical support.
  • Confirm and Co-ordinate Speakers: Confirm and co-ordinate speaker appearances and presentations.
  • Set up and Monitor, or Arrange for the Setting up and Monitoring of Multi-media Equipment: Set up and monitor, or arrange for the setting up and monitoring of multi-media equipment.
  • Plan and Arrange for Trade Shows and Exhibits: Plan and arrange for trade shows and exhibits.
  • Plan Schedules, Goals and Objectives: Plan schedules, goals, and objectives for events and conferences.
  • Develop Registration Systems and Information Materials: Develop registration systems and information materials for events and conferences.
  • Research and Design Special Events Programs: Research and design special events programs.
  • Plan for Social Events and Guest Programs: Plan for social events and guest programs.
  • Develop Policies and Procedures and Attend to Other Management Responsibilities: Develop policies and procedures and attend to other management responsibilities.
  • Identify Human Resources Requirements: Identify human resources requirements for events and conferences.

  • Excellent Written Communication: Possess excellent written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Initiative: Demonstrate initiative and proactivity in all aspects of event planning and execution.
  • Time Management: Possess strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years: Minimum 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in event planning and coordination.
