Safety Professional

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Professional to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
- Provide training and guidance on safety procedures and best practices.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
- NCSO Designation is required.
- Considerable experience working within the construction industry (minimum of five years).
- Electrical or Instrumentation experience or designation (Electrical or Instrumentation Trade Certificate) is considered an asset.
- Previous management experience is an asset.
- Familiar with Alberta & British Columbia WCB.
- Familiar with Alberta & British Columbia OHS Legislation.
- Familiar with CSAZ460.
- Familiar with CSAZ462.
- Candidates must have valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals and Driving & Journey Management certificates.
- Must have a flexible work schedule - shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Able to work with little to no supervision.
- Must have effective time management skills.
