Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Professional to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety practices and provide guidance to employees.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety training programs.
- Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in safety management.
Requirements:
- NCSO Designation is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety-related role in the construction industry.
- Electrical or Instrumentation experience or designation is considered an asset.
- Previous management experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with Alberta & British Columbia WCB and OHS Legislation.
- Familiarity with CSAZ460 and CSAZ462.
- Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals, and Driving & Journey Management certificates.
- Flexible work schedule, including shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision.
- Effective time management skills.
