Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Specialist to join our team at GVA Lighting, Inc. As a critical member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative power electronic solutions for our lighting products.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new products and support our existing portfolio. Your expertise in AC-DC and DC-DC conversion techniques will be essential in ensuring the high-quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create schematics and PCB designs for LED lighting products using Altium Designer 365.
  • Simulate and analyze circuits using LTspice and similar software.
  • Develop firmware in C/C++.
  • Design and develop power electronic circuits such as DC-DC converters and AC-DC converters.

You will also be responsible for collaborating with mechanical design engineering teams to develop complete lighting fixtures and power-data equipment. Additionally, you will participate in Engineering and Manufacturing design reviews to evaluate design concepts and ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Electronics Engineering with a focus on power electronics.
  • 3+ years experience creating electronic schematics and PCB designs.
  • 3+ years experience in firmware development.
  • Solid foundation in circuit analysis, circuit protection and validation/compliance testing.
