We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Backend Engineer to join our Collaboration team at HuntsBot. Key Responsibilities- Architect and implement scalable backend services for RBAC with configurable and granular permissions
- Drive cross-pillar collaboration with software engineers, product managers, designers, and QA analysts in an autonomous, supportive team environment
- Effectively communicate team priorities and strategy to engineering and cross-functional leadership teams
- Write and update scalable software in modern stacks such as Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS, coding primarily in TypeScript
- Build and maintain unit and integration tests, ensuring high-quality and product excellence
- Solve complex problems in a highly technical platform that empowers hundreds of thousands of users
- Improve our planning, development, and deployment processes to enhance team productivity and efficiency
- Mentor, coach, and inspire a team of engineers of various levels
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- 7-10+ years of experience in scalable, multi-tenant environments
- Experience building access control systems such as RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, ACLs, etc.
- 2+ years of experience tech-leading feature teams on customer-facing products, including writing technical specifications and collaborating with cross-functional partners
- A strong focus on testing and documentation, ensuring high-quality code
- A move-fast attitude while maintaining a high quality bar
- Comfort with ambiguity and scoping solutions with your teammates
- Consistently communicated trade-offs throughout a project to meet both technical and business requirements
- Experience with high-visibility work and presenting to executive counterparts
- A passion for encouraging and developing other engineers
