Senior Backend Engineer, Access Control at HuntsBot

About the Role:

  • Location: Remote-first (United States, BC & ON, Canada)

  • Our cash compensation amount for this role ranges from $130,000 – $178,000 for most US locations and $144,000 – $198,000 for US locations with a higher cost of labor. All figures cited above are in $USD and pertain to workers located in the United States. Pay is based on several factors including market location, and may vary depending on job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll:

  • Design and implement robust access control systems, ensuring seamless integration with our platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve our product offerings.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality APIs, ensuring seamless communication between our systems.
  • Solve complex technical problems, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth.
  • Improve our development processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and development.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying web applications, with a proven track record of shipping to market.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with innovating incremental solutions within existing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues.
  • Proven experience building complex web systems, including testing and documentation.
  • Familiarity with one or more JavaScript type systems (we use TypeScript here) and some Node.js experience.
  • Comfortable working in an agile, safe-to-fail environment.
