Key Responsibilities:

The District Manager will be responsible for leading the regional operations team to achieve the company's strategic objectives in the Eastern Ontario area. This includes providing leadership, motivation, and management of business development, estimating, project delivery, and general administration activities.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's strategic plan.
  2. Build and lead high-performing project and support teams within the district.
  3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with business partners, team members, and customers.
  4. Lead business development activities within the district to drive growth and revenue.
  5. Ensure the safe delivery of quality projects in a consistent manner and exceeding client expectations.
  6. Provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to the project team.
  7. Manage the district's operation budget and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  8. Ensure compliance with OHSA regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  1. At least 15 years of experience in the Canadian construction industry in a senior management position or equivalent.
  2. Hold a professional engineering (P. Eng), Gold Seal Certificate (GSC), or Project Management Certificate (PMP).
  3. Excellent knowledge of the greater Ottawa construction market and a well-established network of business partners, clientele, and construction professionals.
  4. Direct project management or site supervision of large institutional, commercial, industrial, and/or water/wastewater construction projects valued between $10 million and $100 million.
  5. Superior leadership, motivational, and mentoring skills.
  6. Strong management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (mandatory) and in French (preferred).
  8. Service and results-oriented.
  9. Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex construction contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  10. Eligibility for security clearances and a valid driver's license.
  11. Superior working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
