Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified educator to teach Indigenous and International Languages in our schools. The successful candidate will have a strong background in language instruction and a passion for working with diverse student populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging language lessons that cater to the needs of Indigenous and International students
  • Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes cultural awareness and understanding
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success
  • Collaborate with other educators to develop and implement language programs that meet the needs of our diverse student population

Requirements:

  • Strong background in language instruction, preferably in Indigenous and International languages
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including Indigenous and International students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other educators to develop and implement language programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Ojibwe and Mohawk languages
  • Ontario College of Teachers Certification for credit courses
  • Teaching Certificate from another province or country
  • Language teaching certification from another school board
