Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team at Sipkens Nurseries. As a Greenhouse Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our greenhouse crops, including ferns, native plants, perennials, bedding plants, and seasonal plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment, including equipment and tools.
  • Harvest seedlings and transplant them to larger containers or directly into the ground.
  • Weed and prune plants to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Pot and re-pot plants as needed to ensure optimal growing conditions.
  • Assist with the production of high-quality plants for sale.
Work Environment

As a Greenhouse Worker, you will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a focus on attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Availability to work 40-42 hours per week.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting.
