About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at DEW Engineering and Development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality designs that meet contract specifications, while driving innovation and excellence in mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative solutions for complex mechanical systems.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research into feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical components and systems, applying knowledge of dynamics and vibrations to optimize system efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster effective teamwork within project environments, promoting open communication and driving project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and application of existing products, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as required.
  • Manufacturing and Assembly: Design for manufacturing and assembly, utilizing expertise in electro-mechanical systems to create efficient and cost-effective production processes.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to support infield failures, conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective designs and strategies.
  • Documentation: Organize and document design reviews, maintaining accurate records of project progress and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering).
  • Extensive experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (preferably AutoCAD and Inventor).
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and scheduling skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
