Job Summary:

First Student Canada-Transco is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety. You will also provide guidance to Apprentice Mechanics and participate in ASE certification program.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and perform vehicle and equipment repairs under minimal supervision.
Remove, overhaul, and reinstall mechanical components with minimal supervision.
Lead preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately.
Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.

Qualifications:

Must have required Mechanic license.
Valid driver's license required.
Must have appropriate mechanic's tool set.
Advanced problem-solving ability.
Advanced computer skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
