Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Emcon Services Inc. is a leading Canadian company with over 30 years of experience in interprovincial road and bridge maintenance. We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the maintenance, service, and repair of Emcon's motorized equipment. This includes supervising a team of mechanical staff, developing new talent, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and assign shifts, establish work priorities, and ensure clear expectations on performance and quality.
  • Monitor and work within equipment budget, follow established programs of preventative maintenance, and analyze operation and maintenance costs.
  • Lead a team of mechanical staff, develop new talent, and communicate mechanical timelines and schedules to relevant team members.
  • Coordinate seasonal equipment readiness programs, work within established standards of performance, and conduct staff and safety meetings.
  • Report and document problems encountered, observe and enforce safety regulations, and prepare reports on equipment and repair status.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in Commercial Transportation Industry or possess a 310T Mechanic license.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and satisfactory Driver's Abstract.
  • Experience and knowledge in technical and mechanical methods and best practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Provincial Commercial Regulatory rules and Provincial OH&S and standard safety precautions.
  • Experience with Preventative Maintenance Programs and maintenance record keeping systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Principles of budget and fiscal policies, principles and practices of supervision and training, and ability to maintain electronic records and reports.
