About the Job

WSP, a leading professional services firm in Canada, is seeking an experienced Senior Geochemist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive forward our ambitious plans for enhancing our Earth and Environment service offering in the province or territory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading geochemistry projects, particularly in oil sands and mining environments. Key tasks include data interpretation, conceptual model development, and mentoring junior staff. Strong technical skills, including experience with industry-standard modeling software and data management tools, are essential.

Requirements
  • A university degree in Geochemistry (preferably MSc or PhD) with a focus on geology, environmental science, geological engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of applied work experience, preferably in oil sands and mining environments.
  • Strong understanding of chemistry and geology, as well as industry-standard modeling software and data management tools.
