About the JobThis is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to ongoing research projects in our laboratory, focusing on elucidating molecular mechanisms of growth, invasion, and drug resistance in brain cancer.
Responsibilities- Assist in managing the lab, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Perform various experimental tasks, including cell culture, RNA extraction, molecular cloning, and immunofluorescence imaging.
- Help with human embryonic stem cell culture and gene knockdown/knockout approaches as needed.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is essential for effective communication within the team and with external partners.
- Experience in laboratory settings, particularly in cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
- Familiarity with gene knockdown/knockout approaches is considered an asset.
- A competitive salary commensurate with experience, estimated to be between $50,000-$70,000 CAD per annum.
