Job Summary:

Clearwater Seafoods is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Bedford, Nova Scotia. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage customer balances: Verify and reconcile customer accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Process cash receipts: Apply cash payments to customer accounts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare financial reports: Generate weekly cash forecasts and other financial reports as required.
  • Facilitate credit applications: Assist with the preparation and submission of credit applications, changes, and approvals.
  • Manage customer inquiries: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with audit inquiries: Provide support and assistance during audit inquiries and investigations.
  • Prepare customer statements: Generate and distribute customer statements in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

  • Education: Business degree or diploma, or 2 years equivalent work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Above-average knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with SAP user knowledge being an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
