Job Summary

Verathon is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager III to lead and manage new product development (NPD) programs. As a key member of our Visualization R&D team, you will be responsible for planning and managing program budget and spend, schedule, and requesting resources from cross-functional managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage program execution and deliverables - scope, schedule, and costs
  • Core team leader for assigned NPD programs
  • Partner with functional managers to ensure sufficient resources are identified and allocated to the program
  • Collaborate with Core team to define program scope, development budget, and determine timelines
  • Establish master program schedule and milestones
  • Coordinate OpEx, capital, and prototyping expenses
  • Identify and create plan to mitigate program risks
  • Implement new technologies to advance medical device designs using appropriate materials and processes that can be transferred to production and manufacturing
  • Participate in business development activities such as supplier agreements, cost reduction requests, and NPD roadmap planning. Maintain team member accountability for achieving expectations and completing assignments
  • Apply knowledge of program management tools and methodologies: Agile, Visual and Daily management, Core teams; Risk management and V&V model
  • Continuously improve product development for NPD programs
  • Regularly interact with Executive Leadership Team, vendors, and contract manufacturers regarding program status, issues, and coordination

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or technical field of study; Masters or advanced engineering degree preferred; PMP certification preferred
  • 5+ years of leading technical product development using an NPD process
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence multi-disciplinary teams and personnel
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Technical expertise in imaging, handheld or mobile devices, or electro-mechanical products preferred
  • Product development experience with medical devices specific to diagnostic imaging preferred
  • Travel up to 15% of the time is required

Compensation

Salary range - $88,697 - $138,119 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range)
