About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to individuals with mental health challenges, working in a supportive and client-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric and nursing care to clients, including assessment, treatment, and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, identifying areas for intervention and developing strategies for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health care, incorporating evidence-based approaches into your practice.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of nursing with current practicing membership with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • At least three years of recent related experience in mental health and addiction, either in a hospital or community setting.
  • Ability to provide/obtain a valid First Aid Certificate and a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License.
