Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our InSite team in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary clinic setting, providing care and support to individuals with substance use issues.
About the Role
As an Addiction Clinic Nurse with VCH, you will provide on-going health care to designated clients with various acute and chronic illnesses, including mental health and substance use, communicable diseases, and general health issues. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to achieve excellence in client-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive counseling and care to clients with substance use issues
- Collaborate with team members to achieve excellence in client-centered care
- Establish and coordinate a plan of care and support transitions between services
- Conduct physical and mental health assessments, identify challenges, and address issues with the plan of care
Qualifications
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Two (2) years' recent related clinical nursing experience providing care and/or treatment services to the designated client population
