Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rubber Production Specialist to join our team at Shercom Industries Inc. as a Production Operator. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding, and curing rubber materials or rubber products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Machinery: Set up, operate, and tend to machinery used for rubber production, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
  • Quality Control: Check and monitor product quality, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Training and Development: Train or assist in the training of other workers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Product Assembly and Inspection: Operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, splice, fit, and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products, inspecting them for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintenance and Record-Keeping: Perform preventive maintenance, maintain internal record-keeping systems, and ensure accurate documentation of production processes and quality control measures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding work, manual dexterity, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, organized, reliable, team player, and ability to work in a permanent position with 40 hours per week.
