Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rubber Production Specialist to join our team at Shercom Industries Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rubber production and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and tend machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding, and curing rubber materials or rubber products.
  • Check and monitor product quality to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Train or assist in the training of other workers to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, splice, fit, and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products.
  • Inspect finished rubber products for defects and make minor adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Adjust machinery and equipment to proper settings to optimize production.
  • Load or feed rubber, pigments, filler, oil, and chemicals into machines to ensure smooth production.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Maintain internal record-keeping systems to track production and quality metrics.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in rubber production.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and physically demanding conditions. The ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel is required. A team player with accurate, dependable, organized, and reliable qualities is essential for success in this role.
