The Opportunity

We are seeking an Educational Developer, Indigenous Pedagogies and Curriculum, to join our Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. This role will focus on promoting, guiding, and celebrating educational excellence through teaching development and consultation, curriculum enhancement, and creative approaches to learning and teaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement professional development programming for faculty, contract lecturers, and graduate students on Indigenous pedagogies and curriculum development.
  • Provide expertise in Indigenous pedagogies and curriculum development, as well as anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and equity-focused pedagogical practices.
  • Advocate for and create an institutional environment supportive of teaching and learning excellence.
Qualifications
  • Indigenous lived experience and knowledge of First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis cultural values and protocols.
  • Lived experience working with Indigenous communities and protocols related to Indigenous relationships.
  • Background and grounding in Indigenous ways of knowing, learning, worldviews, and pedagogies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing professional development programming, resources, and curriculum within a postsecondary setting.
Work Expectations

This position is defined as Hybrid, with the majority of working hours in-person on campus (minimum 3 days per week). As a Faculty-facing service unit, all staff at the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching are expected to be available to work regularly on campus.
