We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at CB Canada. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients with traumatic stress injuries, utilizing evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care principles.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans, ensuring seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments, including psychiatric and non-psychiatric interventions, as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments, including mental status exams, to inform care decisions and ensure patient safety.
- Engage with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education, support, and advocacy, promoting patient-centered care and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
- Act as a preceptor, mentor, and resource nurse, supporting the growth and development of colleagues and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Current registration as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
- Up to 6 months of experience in general nursing practice, with a focus on mental health and trauma-informed care.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA) and relevant legislation, including PHIPPA.
- Experience with group facilitation, crisis management, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic health records and other software applications.
