At the Bank of Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the Montreal Agency Operations Centre (MAOC). As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage risks to the Bank's information, personnel, visitors, and physical assets by countering threats with appropriate protective safeguards.
- Respond to emergencies, such as fire alarms, health and safety incidents, intrusion alarms, and access control violations.
- Operate state-of-the-art security equipment, including surveillance systems, alarm monitoring systems, and access control systems.
- Escort visitors, tradespeople, and Bank personnel carrying securities in high-security areas to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
- Provide on-site security for special events and maintain collaborative relationships with staff and visitors to support operational objectives.
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a security field or police foundations.
- Minimum of three years of security experience in a highly secured environment.
- Valid firearms Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) for restricted and non-restricted firearms.
- Successful completion of a psychological and physical assessment, including the Bank's mandatory Officer training program.
- Ability to work shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
