Pediatric Neurology Associate Physician

BC Children's and Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Associate Physician to join our team in Pediatric Neurology. As an Associate Physician, you will work under the direction and supervision of an attending physician to provide high-quality patient care in a structured, team-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in inpatient and consultation services, including rounds, new patient consultations, and admission history and physical examinations.
- Communicate with families, consultant physicians, and referring physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage day-to-day patient care, including writing medical orders, documenting progress, and responding to emergencies.
- Perform procedures within your scope of competence, including lumbar punctures, under the supervision of attending staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to arrange consultations and investigations.
- Document patient care in accordance with CPSBC and organizational standards.
- Participate in outpatient Neurology clinics, focusing on urgent consultations, for at least 1 half-day and up to 3 half-days per week.
- Assess new urgent outpatient neurology patients under the supervision of Pediatric Neurology attending physicians.
- Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
- Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training in Pediatric Neurology, verified by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Successful completion of the Royal College Subspecialist Examination Affiliate Program in Pediatric Neurology.
- Eligibility for registration with the CPSBC in the Associate Physician class.
- Canadian Citizenship, permanent residency, or the ability to live and work in British Columbia.
