The salary range for this position is CAD $47.31/Hr. - CAD $59.10/Hr.

About the Job

As a Social Worker with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will provide consultation, education, mentorship, complex care planning and clinical guidance within the context of a client and family-centred care model. You will work closely with patients, caregivers, staff and community partners to ensure practice and organizational compliance with the statutory obligations and regulations of the Adult Guardianship Act (AGA).

  • You will develop decision support tools and policies, and recommend changes to practice to improve by analyzing current literature and national trends.
  • You will provide consultation, mentorship, education and support to staff about all aspects of abuse, whether it be Adult Guardianship, Adult Protection and/or Domestic Violence as applicable to the designated portfolio.
  • You will apply knowledge of resources and intervention strategies to assist those impacted by adult abuse, neglect and self-neglect.

This position requires a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited University and 5 years' recent, related experience in working with issues of adult abuse and neglect and self-neglect with vulnerable adults. You must have current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers and a current BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle for travel within the region.
