Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Cobs Bread. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet the needs of our customers and ensure that our team is adequately staffed.
- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Order and manage the inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the activities of our food service staff, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Train Staff in Job Duties: Provide comprehensive training to our staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain a safe working environment.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies: Accurately estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and ensure that we have sufficient stock.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit, interview, and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
- Ensure Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of our food products and services to ensure that they meet our high standards.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns to ensure that we maintain a positive reputation and build customer loyalty.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform our business decisions and improve our operations.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on our food service operations, including sales, customer feedback, and staff performance.
- Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment is preferred.

- Support for Youths: Our Food Service Supervisor will provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Support for Veterans: We provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans and support them in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
- Support for Indigenous People: Our Food Service Supervisor will provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Mature Workers: We provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers and offer resources to help them plan their retirement.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Our Food Service Supervisor will provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
