Job Summary

The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Psychologist to join our team in the Department of Psychology & Health Studies. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in supervising and training clinical psychology students, providing direct services to clients, and contributing to the growth and development of our program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision to students in practicum training and as part of formal coursework
  • Deliver direct services to clients, including assessment and intervention
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Supervise junior faculty prior to registration, ensuring they meet the necessary standards
  • Ensure clinic services adhere to provincial and national standards, maintaining high-quality care
  • Generate and manage clinic referrals, building relationships with third-party organizations
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of clinical service provision
  • Provide didactics as part of clinical seminars or, under special circumstances, teach formal coursework
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a CPA-accredited program or APA-accredited program
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
  • Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) within the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
  • Training and/or supervised experience in providing clinical supervision
  • Experience with administrative and organizational duties involved in managing a clinical practice
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed a CPA or APA-accredited predoctoral internship or residency
  • Experience working with a variety of populations and presenting concerns, with a strong preference for those who can supervise/provide assessment services to children and adolescents
