**Staff Psychologist - Department of Psychology & Health Studies**:
**Primary Purpose**: The Department of Psychology and Health Studies’ Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology is training the next generation of mental health professionals. Our program is expanding, and this will include increases to the student body, additional tenure-track faculty, an ongoing search for a CRC Tier II Chair in Digital Mental Health Interventions, and a brand-new facility for the University of Saskatchewan Psychology Clinic (USPC) with increased staff. The USPC serves as the in-house training facility for our clinical students and provides much needed services for Saskatoon and surrounding communities. The USPC welcomes self-referrals and client referrals from beyond the USask campus community and seeks to provide low-or-no barrier services through low-fee and sliding scale payment options. The USPC embraces diversity along all dimensions, including race, culture, religion, socio-economic status, bodies and abilities, sexuality, gender identity, and types of families. We are 2SLGBTQ friendly.

The Staff Psychologist will be based in the USPC and will 1) play a major role in supervising and training clinical psychology students and 2) provide direct services to clients. The clinical psychology program was established in 1971 and has been continuously accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) since 1990. It provides generalist training, for later specialization at the post-doctoral level.

**Nature of Work**: The primary duty of the Staff psychologist will be to assist the program in achieving its goals and objectives, which are highly influenced by CPA accreditation standards. This will primarily involve serving as clinical supervisor for student placements. Staff psychologists will also be expected to provide some direct services. Staff psychologists will play a role in enhancing the profile of the training clinic, generating referrals to the clinic, and supporting the program in meeting CPA accreditation standards. The program seeks a team capable of providing a wide variety of supervision, intervention and assessment services, but a strong preference will be given to applicants with a practice focused on assessment, especially with children and adolescents.

This position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and covered under the collective agreement between the University of Saskatchewan and the Administrative and Supervisory Personnel Association (ASPA). While full-time employment is preferred, we would consider part-time appointments if necessary.

This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including dental, health, vision, pension, life insurance, disability, sick time, an employee assistance program, a professional spending allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program. The position starts at four weeks of vacation plus additional paid days off during the holiday season and covers professional registration and insurance costs. Benefits would be pro-rated for part-time if applicable.
