About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Architectural Technologist to join our team in Calgary. As a key member of our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division, you will be responsible for preparing working drawings, documentation, and coordinating with external consultants to produce high-quality documents for construction.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from mixed-use, commercial, and residential mid-rise (wood frame) and high-rise buildings. You will be part of a dynamic team that supports design development, working drawings, and detailing.

The successful candidate will have a robust portfolio of details and construction documents, showcasing an array of projects and a holistic understanding of the design process. As an out-of-the-box thinker with a talent for developing creative detailing solutions, you will be an integral part of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare working drawings using Revit
  • Develop documentation, including design development, building permits, and tender packages
  • Coordinate architectural and engineering disciplines with external consultants
  • Review and comment on Contract Documents, Specifications, and shop drawing submittals
  • Site review and meeting coordination
  • Reporting, Change Orders, and Certificate for Payment issuance
  • Consultant coordination and liaison
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5-8 years of experience in an architectural firm
  • Diploma in Architectural Technology
  • Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge and experience in construction administration
  • Experience working with mid-rise (wood frame) and high-rise projects
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Experience with project coordination and meeting tight project deadlines
