Job Title: Senior Medical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Technologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Senior Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the delivery of diagnostic services and will be responsible for supervising other employees in the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the general operation of the laboratory, including supervising other employees and providing technical assistance.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation.
  • Conduct functions in accordance with the Mission and Values of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, current policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum three years recent related work experience required.
  • Supervisory experience an asset.
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
  • Current licensing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced academic achievement (e.g. A.R.T. or B.Sc.) preferred.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
