Quantitative Risk Management Advisor

About the Role:
As a Quantitative Advisor within our Risk Management Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainable growth of Société Générale through expert risk analysis and management techniques. Our team is dedicated to independently analyzing, assessing, managing, and monitoring risk-taking activities, achieving the best possible outcome for the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee the model risk management system for SG America, ensuring consistency, integrity, and compliance with regulatory provisions.
- Conduct independent reviews of internal models within scope, assessing conceptual soundness, implementation, usage, and ongoing monitoring.
- Manage the model approval process, monitoring model performance, effectiveness of the MRM framework, and the model business environment on an ongoing basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Master's or PhD preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in model development, validation, or a front-office quant role; fewer years accepted with a PhD.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, or similar, with advanced knowledge of statistics, econometrics, and machine learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with technical and non-technical staff.
