We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fish Processing Plant Manager to join our team at Clearwater Seafoods LP.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fish processing plant, ensuring the highest quality products are produced while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement production schedules and duty assignments to optimize plant performance.
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules and recommend replacement of machines as needed.
  • Direct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Hire, supervise, and train employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems, and methods of work to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and manage departmental budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Monitor quality and production levels to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants to resolve issues and improve communication.
  • Prepare and monitor contracts and budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Evaluate safety programs to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in fish processing or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.
