Medical Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Medical 3C team at Sault Area Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Standards of Nursing Practice and the Nursing Process.
- Provide health education to patients and their families.
- Make clinical decisions and exercise judgment to ensure best possible nursing care is provided within available resources.
- Participate in the implementation and practice of a theory-based practice approach to nursing care.
- Contribute to the development of Nursing and Unit objectives.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- Current certification in venipuncture.
- Palliative care experience.
- Experience working with geriatric populations.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the management and care of patients in the medical unit.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment required for patient care.
Working Relationships:
- Demonstrated ability to maintain successful working relationships.
- Ability to interact with people in a pleasant, professional, responsible, and reassuring manner.
