About the Role:
As a Registered Practical Nurse in our dynamic 3B Medicine unit at Sault Area Hospital, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering patient-centered care to adults with a focus on geriatric and palliative care. Our unit features 50 beds and offers an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to develop their skills while working collaboratively with experts.
About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RPN to provide high-quality nursing care to our patients. Your clinical expertise and passion for improving quality of life will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of a two-year diploma in Practical Nursing from an approved School of Nursing and current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. You will also possess venipuncture certification and recent hospital inpatient medical experience within the last two years.
About the Unit:
The 3B Medicine unit is a challenging and rewarding environment where you will work closely with an experienced team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will be responsible for making clinical decisions, exercising judgment, and ensuring best possible nursing care is provided within available resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process
- Provide health teaching to patients and families
- Making clinical decisions and exercising judgment to ensure best possible nursing care
- Participate in the development of the Nursing and Unit objectives
Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $65,000 to $90,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
