Job Description

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will play a key role in driving business results through effective category management strategies, process development, and stakeholder collaboration. This individual will lead the entire strategic sourcing process, including sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management for all Loblaw divisions and affiliates.


Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category management strategies, processes, and events for assigned categories/sub-categories in alignment with corporate objectives
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing the category and strategic sourcing process, including RFI, RFP, and negotiation tactics
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive best market value initiatives with vendors through various levers, such as value-based sourcing, market imbalances, demand management, TCO, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, or equivalent discipline; MBA is an asset
  • A minimum of 6 years of procurement experience, with retail industry preference
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP) is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to summarize data into key insights, and define opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Bilingualism is preferred

Benefits
