About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Don Don Izakaya. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Plan and prepare menus for our restaurant, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Culinary Skills

Prepare and cook a wide range of ethnic dishes, including Japanese cuisine, using fresh and high-quality ingredients.

Inventory Management

Manage inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.

Team Leadership

Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

Quality Control

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Language

Fluent in English.

Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 44 hours per week. Public transportation is available.
