Medical Laboratory Support Technician

As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for the specimen collection process, ensuring patients receive the highest quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patients, explain the specimen collection process, and ensure they follow necessary test protocols.
• Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information, requisition details, and other relevant data.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
What We Look For:
• Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent experience in phlebotomy, intravenous infusion, and/or intravenous therapy.
• ECG training or experience is an asset.
• Strong data entry skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality, and effectively relate to patients and healthcare providers.
