Registered Practical Nurse Opportunity at Schlegel Villages

At Schlegel Villages, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team. As an RPN at Schlegel Villages, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

About the Role

As a Registered Practical Nurse at Schlegel Villages, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, including administering medications, wound care, and other nursing interventions. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and other nursing interventions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Heart Save Level of CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
