Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our village team. As an RPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality personal care to our residents, including administering medication and treatments with accuracy and quality. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams to understand residents' individual needs and advocate for their participation in decisions about their care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic care to residents, including personal care, medication administration, and treatments
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to understand residents' individual needs and advocate for their participation in decisions about their care
- Support and promote a resident-centered social culture
- Follow plans of care (or service plans) in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses
- Identify and report any changes in the resident's well-being to the Charge Nurse and Village leadership team
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Heart Save Level of CPR
- Excitement about our objectives, village philosophy, and family values
- Caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members
- Understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the RPN role
Preferred Qualifications
- MDS credentials
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations, and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector
